Neurodivergent Workplace Strategy

Work should work for every brain.

I'm Katie Johnson — a Neurodivergent Workplace Strategist. I work with individuals and organizations to make work more readable, doable, and sustainable for neurodivergent people without trying to fix anyone.

Work wasn't built for every brain — but it can be.

Partnering with neurodivergent professionals and forward-thinking organizations to build workplaces that actually fit.

How I Work

Two lanes. One mission.

Whether you're a neurodivergent professional trying to survive a system that wasn't built for you, or an organization ready to actually include the people you say you value — there's a path forward here.

For ND Professionals

Your brain isn't broken.

You've probably spent years trying to keep up with systems that were never designed with you in mind. My work with individuals is about partnering with you — not fixing you — to understand how your brain works at work and build strategies, language, and support that actually fit you so you can do your best work without burning out.

For Organizations

Your team is already full of different brains.

Some loudly creative, some quietly pattern-spotting, some struggling behind the scenes to keep up with systems that weren't built for them. I partner with you to make work more readable and doable for neurodivergent employees — adjusting workflows, language, and leadership habits, not trying to "fix" people.

Philosophy

What I believe about work.

Partner, not fix

Neurodivergent people don't need to be fixed. They need partners who take the time to understand how their brain actually works — and build from there.

Systems, not willpower

Struggling at work is usually a systems problem, not a personal failure. The right workflows, language, and structures make an enormous difference.

Sustainable, not surviving

The goal isn't to help you "push through" indefinitely. It's to build something that actually lasts — so you can contribute your best without burning out.

Katie Johnson Neurodivergent Workplace Strategist
Different Brains at Work

Work built around how brains actually work.

Hi, I'm Katie — a Neurodivergent Workplace Strategist who works at the intersection of neurodiversity, workplace systems, and human sustainability.

I work with both neurodivergent professionals navigating workplaces that weren't built for them, and with organizations ready to do the real work of building practices and spaces where different brains are expected, supported, and able to contribute without burning out.

My approach isn't about compliance or checklists. It's about understanding how your brain — or your team's brains — actually work, and building from there.
